American College Test (ACT)
The Residual version of the American College Test (ACT) is administered at UCF. To be eligible to take this exam you must have applied, been admitted or be enrolled at UCF.
The Residual ACT can also be used as an alternative method to satisfy the CLAST exam requirement.
A score of 21 can satisfy the Essay, English, and Mathematics subtests of the CLAST. A score of 22 can satisfy the Reading subtest of the CLAST.
Scores from residual testing are reported only to UCF. No additional reports can be issued to any other institution or agency. The ACT can only be taken once an academic ACT year (November to November). The testing cost of the exam is $50.00.
Rescheduling, Missed Appointments, Cancellations, and Refunds
All tests must be scheduled and completed within 30 days of receipt of your payment. You are allowed one reschedule. If you fail to arrive at the test site, or arrive to be seated 15 minutes later than your scheduled test time, you will not receive a refund. To reschedule a test, you must call at least 24 hours before your appointment time. If you reschedule within 24 hours of your scheduled exam, you will forfeit your testing fee. If you cancel or miss your appointment, you will not receive a refund.
